Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship

The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, offers a three year Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship training program for graduates of accredited pediatric residency programs.

Our goal is to prepare our fellowship graduates for rewarding careers in PEM.

We partner with individuals who enter our program to advance their education and experience in the clinical care of children in the Pediatric Emergency Department (PED). We assist individuals in clinical investigation to expand knowledge in the field of PEM. We work with individuals to advocate for the special needs of acutely ill and injured children at every level of the pediatric emergency continuum from prevention and pre-hospital care, to the emergency department and beyond.

Our fellowship program curriculum is designed to provide our graduates with exceptional clinical skills, administrative expertise in the management of a Pediatric Emergency Department, experience in the education of health care providers at all levels and research experience that promotes future involvement and success in clinical research.

This program is fully ACGME-accredited and accepts two fellows per year.

Required for Fellowship:

• Board Eligible or Certification in Pediatrics
• Applications via ERAS
• Participation in the NRMP Fall Pediatric Fellowship Match
