Fertility problems are as unique as the individuals who experience them. With our team of experienced fertility specialists, UH Fertility Center provides advanced treatments for even the most complex cases. James Goldfarb, MD , medical director and nationally renowned fertility pioneer, was responsible for Ohio’s first in-vitro fertilization (IVF) birth in 1983, the world’s first IVF surrogate birth in 1986 and Ohio’s first birth from pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) in 2004. Dr. Goldfarb and his expert team deliver cutting-edge treatment solutions that are personalized for every patient.

Infertility Experts Offer a Wide Range Of Treatments

Our team provides best-in-class care delivered with compassion and understanding. With a vast array of treatment options available, our specialists ensure that patients undergo only the fertility treatments with which they are comfortable, and at a pace that suits them.

Among the features of UH Fertility Center are an in-vitro fertilization program with IVF and andrology laboratories that feature the most advanced technology available, and fertility experts with nearly 100 years of combined experience.

To further prioritize patients’ needs, we begin with the least invasive, least expensive treatment options, and progress to more advanced options only if necessary. To combat the stress of fertility treatments, we also offer two dedicated clinical psychologists who specialize in women’s health issues, a feature offered in only select OB/GYN departments worldwide.

Affordable Fertility Treatment Options

At UH Fertility Center, we want to make infertility treatments affordable for couples. That’s why we have teamed up with Advanced Reproductive Care, Inc. (ARC), the nation’s largest network of fertility clinics, which provides families with many cost-effective options.

We also offer couples a second chance at a family through Partnership for Families. This unique philanthropic organization finances a second in-vitro fertilization procedure for qualifying couples or women whose first attempt failed, those who need pre-implantation diagnosis (PGD) to decrease the chance of having a child with a genetic disease, or those who need egg or embryo freezing before cancer therapy.
